Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 September 2026

These terms govern the use of the www.standapp.es website, the web app (PWA) and the StandApp desktop app. By using any of them you accept these terms; if you do not agree, do not use them.

Purpose

StandApp is a tool for organising comedy material: jokes, blocks, setups and their version history. It is offered free of charge, with no subscriptions, no paid plan and no advertising. The owner is Pablo Alcaraz, Spain.

Licence of use

You are granted a personal, free, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable licence to install and use StandApp. Ownership of the software, the brand and the design remains with the owner. In particular, you may not:

  • Resell, rent, sublicense or distribute the app as your own, or charge for it.
  • Decompile or reverse engineer the software, except to the extent expressly permitted by law.
  • Use the app for unlawful activities or to infringe third-party rights, including copyright over material that is not yours.

Account and Google sign-in

Signing in with Google is optional. You are responsible for the security of your Google account and of the device you use. You can revoke StandApp access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Use of Google and Google Drive is additionally governed by Google’s own terms.

Your material is yours

You keep all rights over the material you create or store in StandApp. No licence, ownership or exploitation right over your texts is claimed, and there is no project server storing them nor staff able to read them.

Backups

Because the data lives on your device, keeping backups is your responsibility. Google Drive sync helps but does not replace a backup of your own: accidental deletion, disk failure or uninstalling can cause unrecoverable loss of material.

Third-party services

StandApp optionally integrates with Google Drive and Dropbox, and exposes a local MCP server for AI clients. These are third-party services governed by their own terms: no responsibility is accepted for their availability, their changes or how they handle data once it is with them.

Availability and changes to the service

StandApp is provided "as is", with no commitment as to availability, support or updates. Features may change or disappear and the project may be discontinued at any time. As it runs locally, discontinuation does not prevent you from continuing to use the version you already have installed.

No warranties

The software is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and absence of errors. The binaries are not digitally signed, so Windows and macOS show a warning on first run; it is up to you to decide whether to continue.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for loss of material, data or opportunity arising from the use or inability to use StandApp. Nothing above excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence and liability towards consumers.

Termination

You may stop using StandApp whenever you want by uninstalling the app and revoking its access in your Google account. The owner may suspend access to the associated services in case of use that breaches these terms or the law.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated to reflect legal or functional changes. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its last updated date. Continuing to use StandApp after an update implies acceptance.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of the owner’s domicile, unless consumer law imposes a different venue, in which case that one applies.
